York County SC Operation Medical Drop Dec 2009

09.Operation Medicine DropThere?s a party going on in the family medicine cabinet. Unsuspecting parents/grandparents are the host. The guest list is their child and their friends.

A dangerous new trend that experts warn is growing fast among suburban youth and is helping to turn medicine abuse into the No. 1 drug problem in York County.

The program will allow York County residents to deliver all of their unused, unwanted or expired medications to law enforcement officials, who can in-turn dispose of these controlled substances in a safe and non-hazardous manner.

This initiative will be held in partnership with several Law Enforcement, County and State Agencies, Local Businesses, and Substance Abuse Prevention Organizations.
