Studios@LOOM Fall Art Reception

Join us to celebrate the works of FMHS AP Art graduates, Maizie Clark and Evelyn Knighten, at the Studios@LOOM. Drinks and snacks provided while you check out the artists' work on view! Public restrooms available.
In AP art at Fort Mill High School, they were assigned to create a sustained investigation, or an overall theme of all of their works that semester.
· Maizie Clark created her series as part of her sustained investigation while she was a senior in high school applying to college and figuring out what she wanted to do professionally. What she created was a series of pieces that follow a character on their own journey of self discovery. Maizie creatively documented Juno and her trusty capybara, following them through different landscapes as they both discovered who they were.

· Evelyn Knighten chose to draw shoes. She didn’t want to just draw random shoes though, but rather wanted the shoes to convey a message or a story. As her investigation progressed, she decided to try to represent different global issues through shoes. She went on to draw pieces representing poverty, drugs, crime, war, and more. Evelyn is proud that she was able to represent those current issues through her art work. https://evekportfolio.weebly.com/sustained-8.html
